My Search For the Truth...and a Christmas Message

My Search For The Truth...and a Christmas Message...

As I write the title of this post, I thought to myself, Now don't put Christmas, Its not politically correct.  What bull!  What does politics have to do with a birth of Jesus.  Well...I won't go there!  So these past few weeks, I have become thirsty for as much knowledge as I can get about the spiritual realm and been on sort of a quest for knowledge of the here after.  So I began reading and listening to everything I could.  Spending my free time (ha ha) not much of that, listening to different radio shows and podcast's about anything and everything paranormal, metaphysical, spiritual and even ended up listening to different Conspiracy Theories.  From JFK, to 9-11, mind control, the conspiracy the surrounds the financial crisis and the New World Order, the Real Men in Black, and the conspiracy's about the government and UFO's and alien cover up's.  I even watched episodes of Ancient Aliens, Jesse Ventura's Conspiracy Theory.  Listened to numerous episodes of Darkness Radio with Dave Schrader, Coast to Coast with George Noory and The Conspiracy Show with Richard Syrett.  By the way they are all great shows to listen too so check them out.  Now, I must say after an overload of information on all of these different topics, from spiritual experts, and conspiracy theorists, my mind is on information overload.  I listened to many individuals that had near death experiences, hearing about their experiences to heaven and beyond.  Some went to different levels per say and some saw bright lights, and family members and some described a sort of judgement.  They all said the same thing, it was the most beautiful wonderful experience and it changed them forever and not one of them wanted to come back.   I listened to mediums and psychics explain their gifts and how they talk to the dead and how to read energies.  I listened to people share their ghost stories and the different haunting experiences.   One thing I will say, is my perspective of our world is a "little bit" different now.  I can't say I am thoroughly convinced that ancient aliens came here and created mankind and that the tablets found in Mesopotamia were related to the stories in the Bible and to current events and how the Earth and mankind was created.  Or that the fluoride that is put in our water is not to help our teeth but to calm us or control us. I heard that Fluoride is the number one ingredient in Prozac.  Another theory is that small amounts of Lithium are being put into our water to help lower suicide rates.  So if we are feeling a little down I say we forget our psychiatrists and doctors, just drink tons of water, and we should all be singing kumbaya and meditating together soon.  Then there is the 9/11 conspiracy and that is was an orchestrated event by our own government and the towers were a controlled demolition.  Who knows?? however,  at one time everyone believed that Lee Harvey Oswald was the only one responsible for killing President Kennedy.  Most Americans believe that there is some sort of a conspiracy that surrounds his assassination.    I can honestly say that I do believe that there is something to the UFO conspiracy, whether they are our own unidentified air crafts or something else out there in the universe.   One thing I do know, however "out there" or unreal these theories are, whether there is life after death or you believe in ghosts, there was, in my opinion, some credible experts consulted on many of these issues and it tends to make you question everything we are being told by the media and others about what actually happens.  Are we really being lied to all the time?  I am one to give others the benefit of the doubt, I want to believe that most people are good and that we all want a lot of the same things in life.
Trusting your instincts and listening to your inner self is one message that I heard over and over.  After listening to all of these spiritual experts, authors and hosts, I have come to the conclusion the over all message is the same.  People just want to find the truth.  We all want to know and understand what really happens.  We all want to see what we can't see.  What happens when our life is over.  Is this it?  What is this all for?  What is our purpose and destiny?  Why are we here?  I believe the one true thing that is going to change this world is the ones that are searching for the truth.  The ones who don't want to stop growing spirituality and opening up our senses to more then what we have been told and conditioned to for years.  The world is changing my friends.  You can feel it.  People are waking up.  You see it and hear it everyday on radio and TV.  Its a new chapter that needs to be written by a new group of individuals. I consider myself very strong and I have a lot of faith.  I may not agree with everything to do with organized religion, but I believe in God and Jesus.  heaven and earth, good and evil.  It's time to pray for our world and pray that we can bring a new sense of goodness, kindness, truth, honesty and love to the world.   Get out of ourselves and do that kind thing for someone and not get found out and not expect anything in return.  The most important thing of all is to Love one another, that is something we can offer one another.  Sure, you say...if only...but we can hope and pray for the strength and courage to make a difference this new year.  I know that I will..Will you?

Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

Merry Christmas & and Happy New Year everyone!
Love,
Andrea

WRAPPING UP 2011

Miriah Herport -Part time investigator (my sweet daughter too)
WRAPPING UP 2011

Now that we have finished up some of our last Events of the year and Halloween is behind us...:-(.  I finally have the time to sit down and write a blog.  What a busy time of year for us, but it's so much fun and I absolutely  look forward to Halloween every year!  However, I desperately needed a couple of days to unwind and watch nothing on TV that had to do with Horror, Paranormal, Metaphysics etc...  So I managed to get in some much needed laughs, watch some comedy, and get some movie time in too.
The team really had a good time this Halloween season at our annual event "Fright Night"  The Downtown Improvement District was very gracious and I would like to thank Katherine Walker from the DID, for all her hard work and dedication.  We gave tours and mini investigations this year at "The Rankin House"  which is now where ARCH is.  Alexander T. Rankin was a known abolitionist and it is speculated that the home may have been used to hide slaves as part of the underground railroad.  This event went very smooth and we had a wonderful time.  I would also like to thank Lori Graff, Program Specialist at ARCH.  She did a fantastic job with telling the history for the home and keeping the tours going.
Last weekend was  (Nov. 5th, 2011) Paranormacon.  IN Nomine is the host of this event and team that does such a wonderful job at putting this together.  I would like to thank Kurt Begue and the whole team for their hospitality and graciousness they showed our team!  Although the numbers of attendees were not what everyone anticipated, the T.R.A.M.P.S. had a great time, and got a chance to fill in and do a couple of presentations.   I am not one for speaking in front of others when I am not prepared.  So I'm sure I "Umm" a lot and was not very informative because if I am not prepared then I tend to get nervous and lose my train of thought and then we have a "train wreck"  I hope I did not bore to many people.  It was good thing Van Riner of Whispers Estates was there to bail me out and keep it entertaining.  Lol.  We saw a lot of familiar faces at Paranormacon (Van) being one of them!  Love Ya VAN!  and met some new people.  We enjoyed meeting and speaking with Christopher Lien and John E.L. Tenney of Paranormal State The New Class and John's Realm of the Weird.  If you get a chance check out John's Realm of the Weird Podcast.  Its very awesome!
We have a few more events this year.  TRAMPS TALK on November 21st. Check out our Facebook page for event details.    http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=199645476776579  A couple more events coming up too.  Details to come later.  Thanks again everyone. Keep checking our blog and website and thanks for your support!

A Paranormal Journal - by T.R.A.M.P.S. Team Leader Jessica Hernandez

A PARANORMAL JOURNAL

Using my creative abilities in paranormal investigating. First off, the whole idea of the Paranormal is not a subject that most people want to talk about. Many are afraid of the unknown, I, on the other hand, am not. I am interested in knowing what else is out there. This brings up the posing new questions everyday. Whether it’s trying to answer the questions of what is happening on a case/client or just asking myself, “Is this real?” Most people think that all investigators are not skeptical, but I feel its good to have a healthy skepticism.  It keeps you open minded and not rigid.  I also study a lot about the paranormal, outside of just ghost hunting.  I take online courses from some of the most popular investigators out there. As we speak, I am enrolled in a webinar class on Demonology. That is definitely a subject that is outside of my group’s specialty.  My reasoning in taking this class is because how do I fight against something I know nothing about?  Knowledge is definitely power and the more I know, the better equipped I will be on investigations of this level of negativity. When you are on a case, one needs to be observant, not only to the people involved but of the subtle energies that are not as easy to see.  This is my specialty. I am extremely good at reading people and the energy around them. Some may view this as being psychic, I really don’t like to be labeled in that fashion. I’m a great observer. I am not a medium. Our team has a excellent medium already. I only use this gift during investigations or when it is necessary. I then give my observations to my team members. I was not given this gift to abuse it or to profit from it.  It is a God given ability that was past down to me, I will only use it for the good of all involved.  This ability has also gotten me much resistance from some of my more religious family members or those
who don’t understand it.  I try to explain it like this, do you remember the story in the bible of Daniel? He was a psychic was he not? Daniel had many prophetic dreams.  I also have this ability. Jesus himself was able to do amazing things like see the future and heal the sick. Miracles we call them. This was because he was God. So why wouldn’t God, who made everyone of us, give us the same abilities? I believe it is because we all have these gifts, many are too afraid to use them because our organized religions, made by Man, say otherwise.  I don’t have all the answers to the spiritual world. But I will take this ultimate risk to help another person in need of assistance. There are many people in positions of power in the church who refuse to help these people. Why? They even took a vow to honor God and to bring His people back to Him, but refuse to do so, that is very disturbing to me. By doing this work, I feel I am doing just what I was meant to do.  This was my life purpose, my mission.  Most of the time on cases, we find that our clients have no faith or have turned away from faith because of the rigidity of the Church or because they feel all Christians are hypocritical. If by doing this work, I can help someone find their faith, then it’s all worth it. I can be the Lord’s servant by bringing His lost sheep back to Him. I know others would not agree with me. I am ok with that. I respect others views. And of course, I get a lot of teasing from my family and friends, but I just laugh along with them. This shows them I am confident in what I do. I joke around about it too. Investigating can be fun, especially when nothing seems to be going on, that’s when we play tricks on each other. We even will throw a joke out there to relax the clients and help them feel comfortable. I know I sound like an uber religious person but I really am not. I like to be thought of as more spiritual then religious.

The creative abilities I used in the above journal entry are:
-Pose new questions to yourself everyday
-Learn about things outside your specialty
-Avoid rigid, set patterns of doing things
-Be open and receptive to ideas (mine and others)
-Be alert in your observations
-Keep abreast of your field
-Have courage and self-confidence
-Adopt a risk taking attitude
-Learn to know and understand yourself

The Haunting of Fox Hollow Farm

The Haunting of Fox Hollow Farm
This past Friday night two of my fellow team members Nicole(Co-founder), Dedee (Team leader) and I went to see the premier of Dan T. Hall's latest documentary titled "The Haunting of Fox Hollow Farm" at the Indiana State Museum at the IMAX theater.  This is a film about the serial killer named Herb Baumeister.  Baumeister was a local business owner and family man.  He owned the Fox Hollow Farm Estate located just north of Indianapolis.  In the early 1996
there was over 5000 bone fragments found on his property.  There were believed to be at least 17 victims.  However, only 5 of the victims were positively  identified.  During the investigation Baumeister fled to Canada where he later took his own life. Current residents and visitors to the property have reported unsettling feelings, unexplained noises, and even seeing apparitions inside the house and around the grounds.  Dan filmed a group of paranormal investigators including psychics, demonologist, Native American Shaman, EVP Specialist, visual specialist, and two cast members from Paranormal State The New Class.  (Christopher Lien and Savannah Lien Wise as they investigated the 18-acre estate over a six-month period.
This film was captivating and very informative.  It not only covered the paranormal activity on the property it also captured the investigative aspect of this horrific story of a very sick and twisted individual.  The ladies and I enjoyed the premier very much and it's always nice to see Dan who is always so gracious to us and our team.  It was also nice meeting some of the cast that we have not had a chance to meet yet.  There are still some screenings this weekend so if you can go see this great film and get spooked for the Halloween weekend.   http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=126052754164637
Thank you Dan and to all the cast for the great film!
Wonderful Work!

Alexander Rankin House
818 Lafayette St.
"Damien" (T.R.A.M.P.S. MASCOT)

History of Rakin House courtesy of ARCH

The Alexander Rankin House is significant under National Register of Historic Places criterion: “Property is associated with the lives of persons significant in our past” and “Properties associated with prominent persons, including abolitionists who were actively involved with harboring fugitives or aiding them in other ways.
Alexander T. Rankin was born December 4, 1803 in Dandridge, Tennessee and spent his whole childhood there. He graduated from Washington College in Southeastern TN in 1826 and then moved to Ripley, Ohio. While at Ripley, Alexander lived with his brother John, who trained hi, for the Presbyterian ministry. Throughout that same year, John Rankin had become nationally known for his abolitionist views. In October of 1829 Alexander T. Rankin married Mary Merriweather Lowry. Mary Merriweather Lowry was from a family of abolitionists as well. In 1830 Alexander was hired to lead the Presbyterian congregation of Felicity, Clermont County, Ohio. Once settled in there, he became involved in Clermont County abolition activities.
In the mid 1830s, Alexander Rankin made trips to lead worship services, but many believe he visited these sites as he lectured against slavery, introducing himself to the Fort Wayne area, as an abolitionist. In 1837, the Presbyterian congregation at Fort Wayne hired Alexander T. Rankin as their pastor. In 1838 Rankin was one of the first organizers of the Indiana Antislavery Society. By this time, Alexander was gaining a reputation as an abolitionist himself, like his brother John Rankin had established.
In July 1841, Mary Merriweather Rankin died, leaving Alexander to raise their four children alone. Within a week of her death Rankin purchased the site of 818 Lafayette Street, and either constructed the home or moved into the already constructed home. Rankin’s church at the time was adjacent from the home located on 334-336 Berry Street. Rankin’s new home at 818 Lafayette Street was made of both wood and brick. The wood section of the home was figured to be built around 1835 and the brick part around 1841. The side door currently on the home was actually the front door at the time during Rankin’s tenure. Once ARCH had begun to restore the home, they found two plastered up cupboards on both sides of the fireplace mantle. These cupboards could be reached through the crawlspace of the basement.
In 1842, the Fort Wayne Sentinel quoted, “…Our pastor is likewise an abolitionist, strong and ardent in his feelings of opposition to the institution of slavery and bold and independent in the expression of his views on this delicate subject.” Alexander Rankin preached at his Fort Wayne church until 1844; then moved onto New York to continue his preaching career. Rankin’s home at 818 Lafayette Street had been converted into use as the first school for women in Fort Wayne. However, the school teacher, Matilda Wallace, had ties to the abolitionist movement. This indicates that the home was still used by abolitionists until the end of 1844, following in Rankin’s footsteps.

Para-Drama...competition and pettiness in the paranormal community

Everyone of us can get caught up in drama. It's a natural part of life. It is how we react and behave to this drama and if we take anything positive away from the negative situation and actually learn something from it is what matters.  Life is full of ups and downs so why wouldn't we experience some drama "sometimes" especially when you get groups of people together from all different walks of life.
In my opinion, there is a little bit too much drama in this field.  We all know it, we have all experienced or witnessed it, at one time or another.  Since Nicole and I started T.R.A.M.P.S. in 2009 we have experienced some of the Para-drama.  Problems within the group, sometimes a little bit of drama outside of the group too.  Fortunately nothing too serious.  However, what puzzles me, is why some people in this field can be so vicious to one another.  We, as a team, have not experienced this that much, but I have seen it on Facebook among other groups and even between some of the celebrities in this field.  I think it is ironic that there is so much of this when we are all searching for the same thing and representing ideas such as "keeping an open mind."  I think that everyone of the groups that we have encountered is different.  They all have different individuals, tactics, ideas, and ways of doing things.   It's something that, in my opinion, each and every one of us in this field should try their hardest to respect and do the best at keeping and open mind.
I feel that so many groups, even myself, and our group included, want to be recognized in this field.  We get a cool piece of evidence and we want to share it and get it out on the web for someone to see.  There is nothing wrong with that, it's natural.  Then when the evidence is criticized for some reason or another, or someone shares their opinion, that is when things can start to get nasty.  Then some of us take it the extra mile, "how cool it would be to be on TV."  We see the Paranormal shows on TV and think, I can do that,  that would be awesome!  I will admit, I wanted that at first too.  Now don't get me wrong, I also wanted to investigate and help others, but it was always in the back of my mind, how cool would it be to have a  TV show.  How can we get there??  We could make so much money and be famous!  Oh boy, how I things change.  Greed, ego, selfishness, resentments, and jealousy can all be such negative things, and can certainly draw negative and nasty things to you.   I also think that is where some of the competitiveness starts. I can't really pin point what has humbled me and the group, or even when, but I do know that being a paranormal investigator, and a novice at best, nothing can prepare you for the evil that you can encounter out there in this field.  Its everywhere and you need to be prepared.  I think some groups and individuals can get caught up in really just wanting a show.  And that's can be OK too.  Some are just destine for it.  You have to follow your dreams.   I can honestly say, that is not what T.R.A.M.P.S. is about.  Something changed for our team this past winter and spring and we will just have to save all that for another blog.
What I can say about the group is that we are all about helping others.  There is a new way for us to experience this journey and it needs to be as drama free as possible.  We are all going to make mistakes and hurt one another sometimes.  We are even are going to try to justify our negative behaviors.  However, its about learning from those experiences.  We cannot plan for every situation that we may encounter in the future.  Trying to only puts limits on our options.  When we limit our thinking it's good to try to remind ourselves, to "keep and open mind."  It's not healthy to hang on to old ideas of thinking.  Sometimes its good to let go of those ideas when they no longer work for us.  If we don't get attached to any one way to approach life, we all benefit and can adjust to things in this field with less stress and strain.  That intern creates much more positive energy, and that my friends is what we need in this field.  We need a lot of love, kindness, respect and open mindedness.  I am a true believer in if more of us, including myself, practiced this way of approaching things, we would tend to attract others that are more flexible in there way of doing things in this field.  So that way we can all learn to help each other more and maybe there would be less negative energy hanging around.
As the team grows and learns together in this field and in life, its nice to see us replacing old ideas with new ones for our group, and sometimes reclaiming other ideas that had been cast aside.  It can only nourish and replenish our group.  That is what its all about learning from one another.  No, we are all not going to agree, but that is life.  As it says in the Bible,  Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the LORD.
What wonderful words to live by, I just wish we all could live by those a little bit more.  Sunday is the anniversary of the most tragic day in American history-9/11.  Lets all take some time to remember those that lost their lives and gave their lives for one another.   Love & Light to All out there!  We are all in this together.

Not your typical investigation...

This past Saturday night(August 27th , 2011) the team went to an undisclosed location to investigate a private residence.  The investigation was about a half an hour away from Fort Wayne, IN.  The investigation started out to be just like any investigation.  The introductions, interview questions, looking for hot spots to set up IR cameras, then unexpectedly things didn't go like we expected them too.  (Do they ever in this field?) We were unable to locate an AV cable we needed in order to even set up the IR cameras.  All the while, Nicole, Co- founder and team medium is saying, "Screw the cords and cameras, we got our camcorders and recorders we don't have time"  "These child spirits need help, and they need it now!"  I started rolling on the digital recorder and got out my Sony camcorder and it was lights out.  I decided to focus more on just capturing the moment and film everything and just watch the team in action.  It was as if our team was on a mission and determined.  I told Nicole nothing of the history of this investigation and the information she was receiving was coming in like "wild fire"  All of it was accurate and matched up with what I was told about activity and the history of the residence.   Now, it's not typical for our team to help lost spirits cross over, in fact it has only happened on one other investigation.  However, this was something that Nicole and the team felt needed to be done.  The energy was building around the team and you could feel it.  My camera was going out of focus for long periods of time, the dowsing rods were going crazy, whether this was a coincidence, I'm not sure, but once the first child spirit was crossed over, the camera was back to normal focus, the rods stopped and the area around us felt lighter and free.  The second place Nicole was drawn too was outside in a garage, that is where we were able help the second child go "home."  This was all an amazing experience for our team.  The next place we went to was the basement.  Now most basements are just dark and creepy anyways, however we could feel the dark and malevolent energy in this one.  Erica, our team researcher was touched and something touched Nicole's arm.  The dark presence in the basement seems to want to hide and we are not sure if this activity with this spirit will diminish.  However, Nicole was able to pick up a name and it did relate to the history of the family and area.
So even though our investigation did not follow the same routine as usual.  It's important to remember that each team, like individuals goes through changes, and it's important knowing that with the individuals we have on our team that we don't have to face theses changes alone.  It reminds me that God expresses himself through our group and puts us in positions that he wants us to be in to help each other and those in need.  It was so moving for me to watch our group that evening.  It was so awesome to see the group's guidance come from not only the individuals but from the willingness of the group to follow whatever wisdom and efforts to work together.   So to Nicole-our medium, her wisdom and knowledge of the spiritual world, Dedee, your courage as a warrior to conquer and help those in need, Nate, your kind and gentle and spirit, and Erica, your loving and helpful personality, I say thank you!  I am so proud to have all of you on our team.  It's an honor to work with all of you and help others and one another.  I love you all!

Good Times! Good People @ The Hannah House Paranormal Meet & Greet

What do you get when you combine tons of paranormal groups, Keith Age, Dan T. Hall, Wanda Lou Willis, Paranormal State-The New Class, Psychics, Authors, a band, oh and lets not forget Justin Bieber (see pictures below) and a whole bunch of people that love the paranormal??  You get the The fifth annual Paranormal Meet & Greet at the Historic Hannah House.  This year was the T.R.A.M.P.S. first year attending and participating in the meet and greet.  I can say, it will not be the last.  What an awesome time it was for everyone.  Mingling, catching up with friends, and meeting new people in the paranormal field.  Actually talking to people face to face and not on Facebook or via email is so much more personable.
Getting to the meet and greet we headed out bright and early from Fort Wayne and arrived with little or no problems at all.  The wonderful welcome we received from fellow investigator Joe Garavagila (SPIRIT Paranormal Consulting) at he registration desk was just what the T.R.A.M.P.S. needed.  Joe, you made our day!  We needed to hear that!  Thank you!
Our table and display looked good especially since I waited till the last minute as usual to have everything done.  The only big issue was the tri-fold board and easel that would fall down with every little gust of wind, however nothing duck tape can't fix and hold!  LOL
Shanna and JB
I would like to give a shout out to Gail and Derrick of SSIP, Amy Hansford, of the Phantom Tribe and Indianapolis Paranormal Examiner, Tracy Bacon, Demononolgist, of IPI, Mike Zoiss of Indiana Paranormal-IPI , and Steve Edwards of NCP it was very nice to see all of you again!  I would also like to say thank you to Danielle Garrison (even though I never got a chance to speak to her except through email) for doing a great job of organizing this awesome event! The team and I would like to give Shanna Leadman of iGhost a big round of applause for taking Dedee up on a her dare to hang out with our life size cut out of JB (Justin Bieber) what a good sport she was dragging him around to all the tables and letting kids get their picture taken with it.  The team and I had an awesome time and will be returning to The Hannah House to investigate with SSIP on September 10th, 2011.  Can't Wait!
After the Meet and Greet the team and I decided to stop off at Crown Hill cemetery and hang out.  This was second time for Nicole and I visiting there and we wanted the rest of the team to see this huge, beautiful, and peaceful cemetery.  We took some pictures and headed to an abandon convalescent hospital near by.  Everyone but me decided to get out and explore.  I have this big fear of GETTING ARRESTED AND GOING TO JAIL so I decided to sit in the car.  Luckily no one was arrested and Nicole got some cool photos and I sat in the car in "the hood" hoping an praying a Crystal Meth Tweeker or Cop (I don't know which would be worse) wouldn't show up.   We ended our stay in Indy eating at The Slippery Noodle, which is know as one of the best blues bars.  This is the oldest bar in Indy built in 1853 as a road house bar for the railroad.  It's was used a part of the underground railroad, during prohibition whiskey was made in the basement.  It was a brothel where a patron was murder during a fight over one of the women.  And yes, the bar is known for being haunted!  The food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful.
The evening ended with a horrible storm that scared the bejeesus out of us while driving home and we had to pull over and wait out the storm.  Thankfully we all made it home safe and sound, sadly, five people lost theirs lives at the Indian State Fair grounds in Indy when a stage collapsed on them while waiting for Sugarland to perform.  Another 40 were injured.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families and friends.
The Team and I enjoyed our time in Indianapolis at the Free Paranormal Meet and Greet at The Hannah House.  We can't wait till next year!  GOOD JOB to everyone that helped to make this such a great event!  THE T.R.A.M.P.S. HAD A FUN!  And why wouldn't we?  We're Tramps!

What's In A Name ?

Recently it's been brought to the groups attention that others don't want to associate with our group because of our acronym.  (T.R.A.M.P.S.) which stands for The Research And Metaphysical Paranormal Society.  Well...if that's the case then I guess big names like Disney and Frank Sinatra are in trouble.  You know, we tramps realize that there is a derogatory and slang meaning behind the word "tramp" However, it wasn't always the case with this word.  Take for example: the meaning of the word tramp:  tramp is a long term homeless person who travels from place to place as an itinerant vagrant, traditionally walking or hiking all year round. In British English meanwhile a tramp simply refers to a homeless person, usually not a travelling one. While some tramps may do odd jobs from time to time, unlike other temporarily homeless people they do not seek out regular work and support themselves by other means such as begging or scavenginghttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tramp  If you want to read more about the word tramp click the Wikipedia link above.  Which leads me to one of my favorite movies, The Lady And The Tramp which is a story about a little well to do dog that falls for a homeless vagrant dog that travels from place to place.  So all this negative talk about our acronym led me on a quest for all the different ways tramp has been used in the past.  We covered, the Disney movie.  Another movie called The Tramp staring Charlie Chaplin and lets not forget the song The Lady Is A Tramp.  Another one of my other all time favorite songs when I was little was by Cher, Gypsys,Tramps & Thieves.  Then my most gratifying find of all was an article on Tramp souls.  Which low and behold it's linked with the paranormal!  So those of you who don't like our acronym we totally respect that.  It's not like we called ourselves SLUTS, WHORES or  HOOKERS.  We were simply were being creative and really liked what we came up with,  We definitely do not represent the derogatory and slang term of the word.  If you think about it, we are a few paranormal enthusiast tramping all over the place in search of a little bit of truth and pieces of evidence.  In the mean time The Research And Metaphysical Paranormal Society will stick with the acronym T.R.A.M.PS. I think it suits us.  NOW GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER!  Lol

Welcome

Welcome to our first T.R.A.M.P.S. FILES Blog.  On behalf of myself (Andrea Schroeder & Nicole Procise- both Co-Founders of The Research And Metaphysical Paranormal Society) and the entire team we thank you for visiting.  This blog will be used to document, inform, and share our experiences with anything and everything paranormal.  We will not limit it to just paranormal.  We will also explore topics in the metaphysical realm.
First of all, a little bit of history about the group.  The Research And Metaphysical Paranormal Society (T.R.A.M.P.S.) was founded in July 2009 by myself (Andrea) and Nicole Procise.  We have known each other in passing because she is my mothers neighbor, but only became close due to the paranormal events that were taking place in my home that my family and I had moved into in the fall of 2008.  In my opinion, Nicole is a very gifted individual.  She is what I would call a medium.  She talks to the dead!  Some people think she can tell the future, make things happen on command, She is always saying "now wait a minute!  I just hear the messages from the dead, I can't tell your future! " I myself, was very impressed with the things she knew that were going on in our home and shortly after that our friendship blossomed and took off and the next thing we knew, T.R.A.M.P.S. was born.  I guess you could say we shared a common interest  and passion for the paranormal.  Nicole with her love of history, science and appreciation for abandoned old homes and buildings.  Me, with my fascination of the spiritual world, wanting to know the truth and if there is anything else out there.  The two of us set off on a journey to find our answers.  However, we couldn't do this alone.  We have a great group of people that have joined our journey to find the truth, some of the individuals for only a short time and some that have been with us since day one!  Everyone that has crossed our path these past two years has touched our lives in some way or another.  We have a love and appreciation for them all.
The group has had there share of very exciting times and great experiences, from filming an episode with Firecracker Films for an Animal Planet series called "Night Terrors"- to local events, investigating awesome haunted locations and meeting so many new friends in the Paranormal field.  We have also had our share of struggles too.  Being in this field can also take a toll on you and the team, even if you think you are prepared to fight some of the darker sides of the paranormal and metaphysical world.  All and all I would say there have been no regrets so far.  Being a paranormal investigator has been nothing but a constant learning and rewarding  experience,  I am the first to admit, I do not know everything, nor will I ever.  The spiritual would is full of questions and I am hoping little by little that myself and Nicole along with the great group of people we have on our team, and the others out there in the same field, together we will find some of the answers.  Thank you for reading this and we hope to keep you entertained and please subscribe to our blog.
